Our aim was discovery and exploration of a local site, Craggy Woods and explore through Science art and other cross curricula areas. Make a comparison of habitats. Undertake study of habitat, flora and landscape. Share findings with the rest of the school and community.
Activities: In School Art work,, Assembly to rest of school, Display for school open day and work included in county show On site Using maps site investigation, compare two habitats-with hoops (under beech and in more open mixed woodland), Basic plant and invertebrate ID, Tree passports and measurements. Listening & observation. FOF Time 2 days including preparation Funding required: Officer time and preparation of materials. No transport was needed as we walked to and from the site
