About the Project
The Flora of the Fells Project aims to get people thinking more about the mountain areas of Cumbria and what’s special about them. We think about places from our own perspective, whether we are a walker, a farmer or a local resident, but the aim of the project to show that if we are to manage these areas properly we need to be aware of all of these views and not just look at landscape through one pair of eyes.
This Year
2008 host the third Flora of the Fells Festival. With over 120 events on offer between March and September there is something for everyone. We are just putting the finishing touches to the programme and details of events will be put on the website as we have them. Take a look at our festival page for event listings.
